I do like their midi controller though and how it is made to seamlessly work with their application.Īmplitube 3 Free w/Custom Shop - haven't purchased anything yet but tried out a bunch of amps/pedals Looked at the GuitarRig page but they have 1 bass amp so it doesn't look like they have much support for us. Haven't tried anything else because support for the bass elsewhere is either minuscule or just not there. I haven't committed to a particular set up on my Mac yet, but I've tinkered with most of the bass gears in Amplitube 3 and MainStage. I can hear the quality difference right away when comparing desktop to iOS, especially when running effects. Mainly because there is a lack of horsepower and the models aren't as deep feature wise. I've been taking part in the iOS thread since the beginning but I'm not 100% sold on iOS as a stand-alone solution. Thoughts ? Ideas ? Anything you want to share ? So far I'd say I like the Ampex SVX "Direct clean" from the "Collections" groups, with a bit of compression. Until now I haven't been able to find an Amplitube setting that I REALLY like. My interface is a cheap chinese USB connection: Not the best, but I have them for travelling. If they're asleep I wear the Bose Q15 noise-cancelling headphones on the left side of the table. The "bar" underneath the screen is an XtremeMac TangoBar speaker, that I use for monitoring when the family's awake. IMac running AmpliTube (got the free version of AmpKit as well, which is not half bad), recording in GarageBand. I would suggest we use this thread to share custom kits, apps, and gear designed for desktops rather than for portables. Unfortunately the leading apps for portable devices have completely different GUIs, settings, models, etc. But the focus in that thread is mostly portable devices. We already have the almost encyclopaedic "The iOS bass player thread". The title of the thread is self-explanatory.
